The ABCs of DC

Washington, DC, is home to a wealth of resources ready to help small and medium-sized enterprises (SME) compete successfully in the international marketplace. Hidden among a profusion of acronyms are government agencies, trade groups, multilateral development banks, and a vast network of capacity-building organizations able to provide assistance, information and advocacy.

The Office for Trade Promotions (OTP), the programming arm of the International Trade Center (ITC), publishes the ABCs of DC to increase awareness of these valuable export assistance programs. The ABCs is an easy-to-use primer that decodes the acronyms and succinctly describes the service offerings of more than 45 local, national and international trade organizations.

International Program Report

The International Program Report (IPR) is published bi-annually and showcases a broad spectrum of targeted and results-driven initiatives implemented by the Office for Trade Promotion. By partnering with an extended network of public and private-sector organizations, the OTP staff convenes signature events that foster international dialogue, generate business opportunities, educate the public, and provide small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) access to the resources they need to thrive in today’s complex trade environment.

The IPR provides an account of these accomplishments, substantiating the OTP staff’s commitment to providing quality and responsive support services that deliver enduring advantages to customers and strategic partners alike.
